This time, we talked about Hofmann's dominant game for ... the fourth time already, a game where most things went right contrarily to the last one, but until mid-game it was a closer game than what the score tells us, how SUI's players got better at entering the offensive in control as the game advanced.

Bei Billeter spielen ja eigentlich nur Ambühl und Corvi so richtig mit. Als Rottaris noch aktiv war, wurde noch ein ganz anderes Eishockey gespielt. Das Hockey von heute ist eine andere Sportart. Für mich sind beide ein Ärgernis.

This time, we talked AGAIN about Hofmann's dominant game for ... the fifth time already, how EVZ's players were able to find each other quite well on some sequences, a close game but a game where Switzerland was ahead in expected goals but couldn't finish its chances, or how Russians were able to gain the offensive zone.

We talked about how this game was an easy win, how they badly outplayed Belarus and especially at 5v5, how they created offence (high-danger passes), how they scored (on three rebounds), how excellent they were at getting the puck out of the zone, how excellent Hofmann was once again but Meier carried the team offensively this time.

Hey there,

On this quarter-final day for the National team, we wrote a recap about the preliminary round: https://nlicedata.substack.com/p/switzerland-round-robin-recap

We talked about the team in general (in all situations, at 5v5, on the PP or PK), all the players by their positions and also what lineup we expected to see from Fischer (Hofmann's line was the best for the moment, so it should remain intact).

He talks about the Germans' weaknesses (their defence mainly), their PK, their very strong first line (Reichel-Pföderl-Noebels) who was one of the best in the DEL this season, their strong goalie Niederberger.

Von mir aus darfst du alles tun.. du darfst sogar auch meine Frage beantworten, warum du nach so einem Spiel fassungslos bist... Ich wäre fassungslos, wenn wir die Deutschen 60 Minuten an die Wand gespielt hätten. Haben wir nicht. Über die Schiris ärgern kannst du dich auch nicht, wir wurden ziemlich stark bevorteilt.
